Overview

Confluence InPlace Editor provides easy-to-use editing of any page section. This plugin is intended for solving of one of the most discussed problems of Confluence -- lack of "sectional editing" ( CONF-5913 "Sectional Editing").

This plugin doesn't require any revision or preparation of your pages -- just install, turn it on for necessary spaces and let's rock! (smile)

Confluence InPlace Editor key features:

  • Easy edit of any section divided by headers (h1., h2., etc). When editing single section you shouldn't find it on a big page and you can concentrate only on the text you are working with.
  • Enabling plugin only for certain spaces. Do you want to enable Confluence InPlace Editor plugin for all users at once? Or do you want to turn it on only for your personal space? It's possible. And no preparation of your pages is neccessary.
  • Any user can temporarily disable InPlace Editor for himself. It's useful if you intend to print, copy or screenshot page so no EDIT-links are visible.
  • Editing of one part of the page keeps you from conflicts. If other user edits the same text at the same time you have the possibility to resolve this conflict.
  • Support of Confluence 4.0/4.1 editor. You don't need to learn how to use any other editor.
  • Option to show "Edit" link only for specified levels of headings. You can choose to edit the page by small parts (h6-headings) or by any bigger ones.
